APPENDIX A - Spindle and Model Codes
The V-72 and V-73 spindles are supplied with the YR-1. Optional spindles include V-71, V-74,
and V-75.
Each spindle has a two (2) digit code which is selected via the EZ-Yield
TM
software. The code
allows the YR-1 to calculate Yield Stress.
The immersion mark selected affects the stress calculations. Ensure the selected immersion
mark reects the mark in use.
Each spindle has a Yield Multiplier Constant (YMC) for stress calculations and a Spindle Mul-
tiplier Constant (SMC) for calibration checks (see Appendix C) as shown in Table A-1. Spindle
dimensions are also listed.

Full Scale Yield Stress Range (Pa) = TK x YMC x 10
where:
TK = YR-1 Torque Constant from Table A-2
YMC = Yield Multiplier Constant from Table A-1
